Lease Terms and Conditions

It is your responsibility to satisfy yourself that the horse is suitable for your level of experience and expertise. Safecobs will advise at all stages.
Purchase of the horse will be allowed at any time during the lease period.
The client must purchase an insurance policy that is Safecobs preferred choice.
If the horse sustains death or permanent lameness due to an injury sustain while out on lease the horse must be paid for in full.
Safecobs must be informed of where the horse is to be kept and Safecobs must be informed if the horse is moved to a new yard.
Safecobs require a deposit. The deposit will be individual to each horse and will be a minimum of £1,000.00 (one thousand pounds), which is refundable on return of the horse in a satisfactory condition i.e. the condition it was leased out in, taking into consideration the age of the horse.
Vet's fees occurring from all accidental injuries are the responsibility of the client. If the horse is returned with veterinary attention needed the monies for this will be deducted from the deposit.
A fee of £392.00 is required as an initial payment.
Monthly payments are to be made by standing order to Safe Horse Travel.
Horses must be in their new homes one month to allow them to settle in before being able to give one month's notice.
Horses can be returned after giving Safecobs one months notice.
If a horse is returned and another horse is leased the initial payment of £392.00 is required.
In the event of a horse's ill health that is age related, we agree to take the horse back immediately a vet has given a diagnosis. No treatment is required by the client.
Horses are leased as fit for their purpose and are to be used for their purpose and no other.
Our lease horses are to be used for the clients’ personal and private use. At no time are Safecob Lease horses to be loaned or sold.
Clients must have personal and 3rd party insurance cover.
It is a condition of lease that we arrange delivery for your lease horse unless otherwise agreed. The cost will be the responsibility of the client.

All clients will be asked to sign and agree to our terms and conditions prior to the lease starting.
