He gives an extremely mature ride for his age. Totally non spooky, fantastic in all traffic including lorries and the unusual. He never gets excited or worried. He happily hacks out with others and is never competitive. He doesn't speed up on his way home and really does take everything in his stride.
Bobby is not phased in the slightest by nervous riders and dutifully does his job without question. He gives a feeling of complete safety and reliability without being lazy or a plod.
Bobby has very easy, comfortable paces. He is light in the hand and will always comply to the riders wishes. He is not wide to ride and stands like a rock to be mounted. He will happily take lead file and is happily riding out on his own.
He was great to clip and to travel. He had his first set of shoes on this week and he was quite nervous of the farrier but in time this will definately improve. He will however go barefoot. He never gets footsore even with lots of road work. This is why he hasn't been shod until now.
